What is Satin?

Satin is a type of cloth made out of polyester fibers in a partiular satin weave. Satin is extremely smooth to the touch and has a glossy appearance. Satin can often be smoother than silk for a fraction of the cost. Because of its anti-absorbant properties and gentleness on hair satin makes a great material for a pillowcase.
